Since I’ve decided to uncuff myself and can now share my SFTJ prompt submissions with you — I’ve let Cotton put together a batch of his Jukebox Favs! Here’s a mix of 10 personal essays and short stories.
I’mma give you a little introduction to each of the pieces below:
These first two posts are about my Sweetheart💚. So you’ll wanna skip them if you ain’t into the lovie-dovie stuff.😏
And now we’re getting into essay territory. In Try To Get It Right, I talk about intention. Next I visit how sometimes it’s just easier to start over, empty the bin, and get Back to Square One. The Myth of Bobcaygen is about finding peace by confronting the obstacles that stand in our way. And in A Little Bit Them - A Little Bit Us, I discuss how the thoughts and actions of others only affect us as much as we let them.
Now let’s slip off into a world of our own making — it’s fiction time! Travel to Amsterdam’s Red light District in No.90, or take a little trip with Hank Cotton in Right Place Wrong Time. Need a drink? Pull up a stool beside Johnny in I Still Miss Someone, or let Brian pour you a cold one at BJ’s Karoke Bar!
