#1- How do I choose which local newspaper to approach?

I live in the great state of Georgia. A quick Google search will tell me that there are over 300 newspapers located in GA. But which ones do I approach?

First ask yourself: do I know anyone who owns or works at a local newspaper? If so, that would obviously be the best place to approach first.

If you don’t already have a connection in the news industry, you’ll have to do a little research to find your first newspaper client. When you begin doing your research you’ll want to keep the word local in mind. I emphasize the word local, because any large-national newspaper will more than likely already be set up with a professionally designed website and online newspaper.
